feedback: I see that most castes which carry the traditional surname of "Pillai" have been covered, however Ezhur Chetty or Ezhur Chettu (search wikipedia for comments) which is one of the major castes carrying the same surname is not included in the list, considering that the population is much higher than few other castes mentioned, I think it merits an inclusion.

Needles to say, I belong to this caste.

About me, I am Thanjavur Saiva Pillai, retired from Indian Air Force on Oct 2004 from Air HQ's Comn Sqn. My Dad was also in Air Force retired on May 1987 from AF Tambaram. I believe, you are settled in Nagpur. We were in AF Nagpur(Vayu Sena Nagar) in early 1970s.

I am proud of you Sir, that you did a spendid job in creating a website exclusively for Saiva Pillai. If you get time, you may visit my website http://www.bharatan atyamclassic. com. It is a website giving informations on theory of bharatanatyam forms like hasta mudras, facial expressions, etc. Very soon I am going to have a blog integrated to my site, so that viewers can enter thier bharatanatyam related articles, like Arangettram, Salangai Pooja, etc.
